We want honest reviews. Positive ones are lovely, but a review that tells someone this product isn't right for them is doing its job too.
Who tested the device before launch
Before we opened for orders we gave devices to a group of people to test and report back honestly — family, friends, and independent testers with no connection to us. We wanted a mix on purpose, because people who know you will tell you the truth and people who don't will tell you a different truth.
Everyone in that group received a device free. Nobody was paid. Nobody was asked for a particular rating, a particular wording, or a review at all. Their reviews are marked as collected from a store visitor rather than a verified purchase, so you can tell them apart at a glance.
Our reviews are real
- Reviews from pre-launch testers are marked as collected from a store visitor, not a verified purchase.
- Everything else comes from a verified purchase.
- We do not pay for reviews, and we do not offer discounts, credits, competition entries or any other incentive in exchange for one.
- We do not import reviews from other websites, marketplaces or suppliers.
- We do not delete reviews for being critical. A one-star review that's genuine stays up.
Why we moderate
Every review is read before it's published. That's not to filter out criticism — it's because we sell a wellness device in Australia, and there are legal limits on what may be published about products like ours, including in content written by customers.
What we can't publish
We will remove or ask you to edit content that:
- Describes treating, curing or improving a specific medical condition or disease. We know this can feel strange when you're describing your own experience honestly. We're not permitted to host it, because our product is a general wellness device and is not a medical device.
- Claims the product cures, heals or guarantees any outcome, or that it is completely safe or free of side effects.
- Comes from someone who received payment or a discount for writing it.
- Comes from someone who received a free device outside the pre-launch tester group described above.
- Comes from a health practitioner, health professional or medical researcher, current or former, writing in that capacity.
- Contains someone else's personal information, or photographs of someone who hasn't consented.
- Is abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, misleading, or off-topic.
- Is spam or advertising.
How we handle removals
If we remove your review we'll email you and tell you why. Where the issue is a specific claim, we'll usually offer you the chance to edit and repost.
We keep a written log of every review we remove and the reason. We take this seriously.
Photos and videos
The same rules apply to images. Before-and-after photographs are generally not something we can publish, for the same reasons as above.
Our replies
We reply to reviews where it's useful. Our replies stay factual.
Social media
The same standards apply to comments on our Instagram and Facebook. We may hide or remove non-compliant comments and, if it keeps happening, block the account. This isn't about disagreement — you're free to criticise us publicly. It's about health claims we're not permitted to host.
If something's wrong with your device
Please don't use a review as your first step — email info@healforyoulight.com.au or call 1300 674 934. We'd much rather fix it.
