Our Story

The founder

Twenty minutes that belonged to me.

I used one of these five days a week for nearly six years before I sold a single one. This is how that happened.

2020

In 2020 my marriage ended.

I had a picture in my head of how it would go. The house, the white fence, two parents raising two beautiful girls under one roof. That picture came apart, and I had to come to terms with the fact that their dad had chosen a different road to the one I was on.

What followed was the ordinary, unglamorous work of rebuilding. Two little girls who needed me to be steady. A house to keep running. And somewhere in all of it, not one moment in the day that was actually mine.

If you have been through something similar you will know the specific tiredness I mean. It isn't dramatic. It is just relentless.

December 2020

That December my best friend imported a full-body red light panel.

I started using it for twenty minutes a day, after my shower, before the evening properly began. And I want to be honest about why, because it wasn't the light.

It was that for twenty minutes, nobody needed anything from me. No one was calling out. Nothing was on. I had found a reason to lie still that nobody could argue with, and that turned out to be worth a great deal.

Then the girls started joining me.

The three of us would lie down together. No television. No phones. Nobody talking. Just twenty minutes in the quiet.

Some nights we did it together, some nights alone, but it became the thing we all looked forward to. In a house that had just been through something hard, it was twenty minutes where everything was calm.

I don't think I appreciated at the time how much that mattered. You don't, while it's happening.

Nearly six years

I have done it five days a week, twenty minutes a day, since December 2020.

Through the hard years. Through a harder surgery. Through the girls getting older and busier and less inclined to lie on a floor with their mother. It stayed the constant.

Nearly six years, before I ever sold one.

I mention that because every brand founder says they use their own product. Most of them started using it the month they decided to sell it. I can tell you exactly what mine was doing in December 2020, because I was already doing it.

Why I couldn't recommend anything

Somewhere in those years I started reading properly. About light. About wavelengths. About what actually separates one device from another rather than what the packaging says.

And I started thinking about the other women I knew. Mothers with nothing in the day that belonged to them. Families who needed twenty quiet minutes far more than they needed another thing to manage.

So I went looking for something I could point them to.

What I found was genuinely disappointing. Devices advertising 660 nm and 850 nm that fell apart the moment you asked for the measurements. Dropshipping operations charging Australian families a fortune for units they had never physically touched, shipped from warehouses they had never seen, with nobody to call when something stopped working.

I asked several brands a simple question — what is your irradiance, and at what distance was it measured? Most never answered. A couple sent me a wattage figure, which is not the same thing and they knew it.

I couldn't recommend any of it in good conscience.

So I built one

I put everything I had into it.

I wanted a handheld, because I had watched people buy large panels and then stop using them — not because the panels were bad, but because setting something up is the step where routines die. Something you can pick up and put down survives contact with real life.

I wanted the same wavelengths as the panel I had used for years, in meaningful numbers — six LEDs at 660 nm and six at 850 nm, not a token handful of one pretending to be both.

And I wanted it priced where an ordinary Australian family could actually reach it.

Getting there involved more paperwork than I expected. Test reports, declarations of conformity, battery documentation, compliance advice. I asked for measurements at three distances rather than one flattering one. I asked what the tolerance was. Most of that work is invisible on a product page, which is precisely why so few people bother.

What I publish, and why

Every specification we have, we publish. The measured irradiance at 5, 10 and 15 centimetres. The wavelengths and how many LEDs of each. The battery, the beam angle, the weight, the tolerance on the measurements.

The same figures are printed in the manual in the box. If they ever disagree with the website, something has gone wrong and I want to hear about it.

I do this because I remember being on the other side of it — trying to get a straight answer out of this industry and failing — and because I would rather compete on what our device actually does than on adjectives.

And what I won't say

You will notice we never tell you what this device will do for your body.

That is deliberate, and I would rather explain it than have you wonder.

In Australia, the moment a company claims a light device treats a condition, that device becomes a regulated therapeutic good with a long list of obligations attached. Ours is a general wellness device. It is not a medical device, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything.

So I can tell you the wavelengths, the measured output, and how to use it safely. I cannot tell you what it will do for you, and neither can anyone else selling one — whatever you may have read elsewhere.

I know that is a strange thing for a business to volunteer. But you are about to spend real money, and I would rather you knew exactly where the line is and decided for yourself.

What I promise you

I import these myself and I stand behind them personally.

Every unit carries a batch code so I can trace exactly which production run yours came from. There is a 12-month warranty and a Queensland phone number that I answer.

I am not a corporation. I'm one woman on the Gold Coast who used red light every day for six years before deciding to sell it, and who couldn't find a version of this business she would have been happy to buy from.

If you want to ask me something before you buy — anything at all — email me. You'll get me.
